I am sure that you can find many more customers of the networking equipment vendors who are not making money at this time. This does not mean that the core business of the vendors is to businesses that do not make money, just the most visible.

Some will clean up their business model and survive, some won't and will disappear. And the demand will continue to accelerate.

el, just go to the history books, the equivalent were the gold rushes in California and Alaska. The gold miners never made any money, but those that supplied them with the "picks and shovels" made a lot. Whether AMZN survives or B&N takes over that "Space", both will spend until the other "dies", and the survivor will continue spending, and they will pay for these expenditures. The internet medium will not only survive, it will thrive, but the entities that are buying today may not be there tomorrow. As far as the networkers are provided, that is dandy, since their equipment weill bought over and over by all those trying to get into this space. Now, does justify a PE of 100 or 500? I know not, but that is a different question (g).
