zeev, against my better judgment, I got more ssti, we'll see next wk if this breaking of the no avg-down rule will hurt me.

SNDK was a long time buy and (mostly) hold for me, but my last big holding, I sold 1/2 my remaining position before the split and the rest after the split when it popped. After that I traded it 8 times (not always profitably).

I am in sndk now, but find the urge to trade this one very compelling, I think everyone knows about sndk now, it is not the undiscovered gem two years ago, but they will consolidate and become bigger, but I don't see the 400% or 800% growth anymore.

As for rmbs, well, I did one lucky trade there, and might get back in again, old prejudices die hard, and I'll sleep better at night with it if there is confirmation that they'll get at least 1% out of every sdr/ddr for the next 5 years, if not, then it might be a simple overvaluation problem. For my own reasons, I am not as optimistic about the future of rdram as many others, though I see the sdr/ddr licensing as quite a breakthrough for rmbs.

I've been wrong on rmbs before, so I'm not an expert there, and I could continue to be wrong and be too stupid to see it.

In the PC clone shops, I also see the Via Apollo Pro VT82C694 (PC133) socket370 and slot1 MB sales skyrocketing, while the i820 sits on the shelf, lonely and neglected, a decorative testament to a bold experiment by the strongest CPU company in the world. The 440BX MBs are also drying up as (overclocked) it does not support PC133 reliably. I also see very rapid adoption of the i815 (PC133) RSN. But for rdram MBs, I see a lot of different models by oems that are not high volume units. This Q is probably the first that someone has taken a big dent out of Intel's dominance in system chipset, and it is not a minor bite, if all the anecdotal evidence in the clone shops are to be believed.

I also don't see INTC being able to exercise their rmbs warrants if they introduce their i815.

The system chipset market is a tiny drop in the bucket for intel compared to their cpu, so it doesn't really affect INTC bottom line much, other than bruised egos for the chipset guys.

Some stocks, (like sndk), you just feel happy holding, others will just keep me awake at night. I hear caffeine is good for some, but it just makes me more paranoid than usual.
