August, From my perspective, it is useful to have a list that displays the Hot Subjects regardless of forum in addition to making lists available by forum. Actually, we've gotten this request many times for a couple of reasons. SI is not only a community, but a valuable resource tool. For someone who wants to talk about (or research) options, it would be nice to have a hot subjects list dedicated to that forum only. It is rare that subjects in some categories ever get into Hot Subjects, and users have asked for hot topics relative to an industry or market rather than relative to the entire site. Newer users who are interested in joining a discussion on a specific industry or category may have trouble finding an active thread. This will help them. John

One question more. Do you REALLY, honestly daily use this site? I mean more than just to monitor a few threads or read your mail. I'm really curious. I'm certain none of the people who are making changes to SI use it the way we do or the way the Dryer brothers used to do. If they did, we wouldn't have these stupid changes and problems in the first place. And how many of these idiotic "test" threads have been created so far ?
