Tony,

We used to go ecstatic over a b2b anywhere near 1.26, or 1.16. Now it's an excuse to sell because it's lower than the last one?

Is there really any rational investor who actually expected the BTB to remain at 1.46? This is ludicrous and will be viewed as another premier buying opp several months down the line.

, but nowhere near an end in sight for the boom. Look at Sun yesterday, McNeally says top of the first and there isn't even an out yet. That's about Internet infrastructure, which has semiconductors all over it.

We as investors, should look at what the semi execs are saying to help us make our decisions. They are the ones betting their companies, and they have repeatedly said that we ain't seen nothing yet. I would much rather make decisions based upon these people than any Joseph's out there trying to make names for themselves at the expense of anyone who may take their guesstimate seriously.

I think the real threat to the upturn is when most everyone has forgotten the last one and is wildly bullish and the semiconductor companies are all spending money like teenagers; that is certainly not the case now.

BK

Tough day today. Thank God no trading on the weekend. Murphy has a great track record on semis. I have timed many of my purchases here based on his calls. He follows INTC, AMAT, LSI and soon TXN. I expect a back up the truck call for sometime next week for the stocks he follows except INTC. He thinks INTC a bit ahead of itself here.
Regarding his call on MSFT, it + semi collapse made him look real good this week. Only mistake though was a big one--his flat out sell call on emc at 80. Oh well. I understand he was on TV out in CA and recommended LSI. Have a good weekend folks..

Tony, I was not talking about the BtB. I believe the market is responding to the month-to-month percentage growth in absolute bookings.
