I am not a chart guy, but...

siliconinvestor.com

That chart sure looks like we will either get a test of our $23 correction low or this is what a "bear market sucker rally" looks like and even my buy at $24 in May was just a sucker play.

We still have to look how far this stock came from (still a 10 bagger off the low in '98) and so perhaps the clueless would rather lock in gains than risk them? Fine with me if we get some cheaper shares to buy.

I believe a successful test of the $23 low would be very good technically speaking. Any TA experts out there to comment?

Kirk out

Monday's plan for LRCX..............

With options out of the way, its now time to plan for the next month. I don't know where things are headed, but some kind of plan is better than no plan.

I plan on buying another 500 shares on the open. If LRCX rises during the day I will be writing covered calls at the Aug 35 strike, which closed at 1 1/16th bid If LRCX falls by the end of the day I will write the 30's for at least 2.

I somehow believe that anyone who wanted out of LRCX is now out. So selling pressure may be over. Investors possibly figured out that stocks tanked after reporting good earnings so the motivation was to sell now instead of waiting for earnings. But in reality there can't be sell off before a sell off. And once a pattern is recognized its no longer valid.

My prediction is that LRCX rallies on the earnings report to confound all those that bet otherwise.

>> I picked up some more Lam today though. Unfortunately it was at the open(28 13/16)<<

I did the same and don't regret it.

Regards, Jerome

Thread reviewers.. Has anyone figured out a better way to manage Monday? Its my observation that LRCX crashes faster and recovers more slowly than others in this sector.

I believe the key will be to watching the volume and price movement of AMAT.
