JDN, I do not claim to be an expert, I do not have the time to research all the tech buzz-words. The 3G (3rd generation) technology is what I am trying to focus on though.

I look at markets (countires) that have little or no wireless infrastructure. They most certainly should go with CDMA2000 and HDR (High Data Rate internet) offered by QCOM, but I am biased as heck. Look how QCOM has grown just by deploying CDMA in the tiny country of South Korea.

There are several very well informed posters on the QCOM thread that have a long track record of accuracy. They know the technology and general business dealings more than I do. I listen to people smarter than me!!!

I just hope both companies (ERICY and QCOM) can do well, unless I sell one of these positions (not likely).

Im still very curious what the next announcement by QCOM will be. The CEO said one will come. Some speculate they will develop a chip that works with both GSM and CDMA.

Best of luck,
Scot
