JDN,

I am not privy to the editors actual reasons (though I have asked) but I suspect that any of the following could have resulted in the shutdown:

1) they sold their shares or
2) the effort was not worth the return being seen or
3) Brian Goldberg's return meant they couldn't use his computer to continue to host the site or
4) MVIS management threatened them with legal action

I'm sure there are many other reasons why they would shutdown.
