Which of the complex human social patterns do you choose to call love? Or do you really mean lust? Because lots of people call lust love too. Or will you subsume it all under "love".>> Lust is the antithesis of Love. Lust is equivalent to a black hole. It's the feeling of power - ie. taking, defining, possessing and controlling. Love is the antithesis of lust. It's light. It's the feeling of joy - ie. of wanting to give, share, radiate, uplift and help others. It's the feeling of creating something that will last, grow, evolve and learn by risking, sharing and serving others. To love is to risk. Lust does not risk. When you lust you feel as if you can have it both ways: the sense of power and the energy which comes from taking/using energy from someone else....WITHOUT having to risk, etc. But we quickly discover that we can't have it both ways. For there's a hallow, empty, dirty feeling that comes from lusting while being in the vortex of a black hole. You need to take more light, energy and trust from the next person/victim and relationships become a game. We learn to view the world from a selfish, short-term viewpoint. The self/ego doesn't want to risk. The self doesn't believe/know in the universal power of light within the vertical realm. Everything gets defined/squeezed into the horizontal and the only energy and meaning we can get out of the horizontal comes at the expense of others. Love becomes lust. Light becomes darkness. And anyone who's happy and who expresses joy and light either potentially fodder for the mill or just doesn't fit. Very simple. Peace. GO!!
