I agree with your read, L3, but mine is based on short-term technicals: we're consolidating at the lower end of the recent trading ranges, and just above critical trendlines: that would seem to indicate that the markets are waiting to break down. This pattern could reverse, but at the moment it seems bearish to me. I'm not getting much in terms of chart patterns indicating either a reversal or consolidation here; the trendlines and the condolidation at the lows and the weak rebounds seem to be the most important signals here, IMHO. By the way, downside wedge breaks can happen on low volume, with volume accelerating as the market falls away from the pattern. A weak break could snowball here.
