You're probably not serious, but I think AMD's not engaging in a speed-grade demonstration war and willingness to let Intel stay on par to perhaps slightly ahead in the perceptions race has been a generally good approach. I don't think some of the comments about AMD's singular desire to destroy Intel at the expense of itself is born out by recent events.

It seems more accurate to assume that Jerry has always simply wanted to be a player in the most lucrative "niche" of the semiconductor market, and that he has, after a decade-long string of slightly inadequate designs, been able to achieve this status.
