Japan: The joke of course is that there is no need for 3rd gen new spectrum in Japan if Qualcomm's technology is used. All of the 3rd gen speeds and functions will be available on current spectrum. DoCoMo needs new spectrum since there is no hope for DoCoMo in current spectrum - and the rates will be pitiful in comparison when the laughingly called "roll out" (in reality a test of 1999 long since past specs) may or may not take place in May of 2001. Real world is CDMA2000. Phoney world, WCDMA - whatever that is in terms of content - which of the 3 kinds - Japan's, Korea's or Europe's? Best. Chaz
