Great idea! Starting the contest with 4 to 5 guesses from historically accurate participants, instead of 10 would be more practical though. I'm also planning on adding a separate table containing guesses, only from the the participants that have been more accurate in their past estimates (<=10% error).

Chic,

I don't think the first entries were bad. Based on the information available when first group of entires were, the entries look ok to me. At that time, it was not reasonable to expect that AMD will not sell any Duron and hardly any Thunderbirds in Q2. The KT133 disaster has not fully played out.

Later on in the quarter, when it was reasonable to expect that there is a shortage of chipsets, the earnings estimates came down, at least among SI posters.
