Uncle Frank: I would hardly classify myself as a trader.
I do, however, differentiate between a disruptive technology and a "disruptive investment". Rather than wait for QCOM to achieve Tornado levels, I would prefer to put that money in stocks whose products already have wide acceptance, with ever-growing profits and market share.

Rather than treating the Gorilla Game as an interesting intellectual exercise, I try to use it to guide me toward the best investments in the here and now. At present, QCOM simply doesn't fit the bill, although that may well change at a moment's notice. If and when it does, whatever the seminal event, you can be certain I will once again hop aboard the QCOM gravy train.

Frank,

You're absolutely right. Glad to know your evil twin hasn't taken over! :)

One clarification that I realize you know, but because your keyboard got in the way of your fingers ...

The fm advises to hold the Gorilla until there is a threat of substitution, and there isn't one in sight.

I'm sure you'll agree (and if not, that you'll tell me so!) that GGamers are to hold until the proven threat of substitution. That any threat is not yet in sight, as you mention, is even more important in the decision to sell or not sell QCOM shares at this point in the Game.
