this is like K-mart, Dell does work best with companies big enough to run their own data centers. The partner with many VARs to provide services and software. Where they excel and attract these customers is through inventory control of the hardware. Once an account is setup a replacement or addition can be sent overnight already pre-configured with the software, account information, and IP addresses. You are right that these people are thinking about their software and data, they don't want to be bothered by the actual machines. TP
