Zeev,

"If you believe that the relationship between INTC and RMBS is so that INTC can make a billion bucks on RMBS stock, you got some rude awakening coming your way."

Zeev,

Don't own Intel or RMBS, so I could really care less about Intel's intentions. It would seem that Rambus has Intel over a barrel at this point. Also, if this problem saps INTC of energy it could have applied at advancing their flash technology I am happy.

My only beef with the situation is Intel pushing current Rambus technology on the consumer at a point when a clear price/performance benefit is not to be had over standard DRAM. The fact that they are motivated to move forward with pushing Rambus DRAM on the consumer because of some stock warrants and a nearing deadline is ludicrous.

Rambus on the other hand seems to be in a unique situation with its patent portfolio. Royalties on DRAM regardless of origin? That is obscene. It almost reminds me of another computer memory company I know. <VBG>

Anyway, I don't foresee any "rude awakenings" here.
