... it is my considered opinion that I have enough friction in my life without actively seeking out optional aggravation beyond that which is inescapable. This semi-hermit says "Hear! Hear!" Or is it "Here! Here!"? I can never remember. Occasional brain fades like that are about as much aggravation as I need.

Wow. That's a terrific canoe message! I wish I'd written that. That's a person I'd like to get to know. What kind of person takes the time, when they find themself at a canoe site, and have always h a t e d canoes (I mean what kind of person HATES canoes anyway?) ~ what kind of person then thinks it will be fun to send the Canoe Person a whacko message? And takes the time to do it? Well ~ ME. That's the kind. I LIKE it. I would definitely have started a dialogue. Like maybe sent back a why do you hate canoes; or a realistic, perhaps translated, antique Iroquois Cano-Hater Curse.
