You can bet that there will be lots of activity in the stock on Monday. I believe that the earnings rise won't matter to investors as much as company guidance in meetings after the announcement.. I would like to hear that, going forward, the earnings prospects are great. You can bet that this will occur if the president of KEM, David Maguire, parrots his message on his interview on radiowllstreet.com several weeks ago. I believe that you will see KEM's stock rise, however, patience will have to be excercised IMO. There are many analysts and doubters in professional money management circles who fear a slowdown in the economy. This slowdown, they believe, will lead to a cut back in production of wireless handsets therefore drastically reducing demand. Now KEM is investing heavily in both manpower and equipment (hiring 600 employees and $200MM in capital spending). This is what worries analysts. "What if they threw a party and nobody came?" What if they build the capacitor plants, train employees and the demand dries up? This is a real fear which IMHO is keeping the stock down and is unfounded. There will have to be a lot of convincing to change these misconceptions. Yes, misconceptions! The demand for capacitors is real. There are more and more handsets that will be required if we are moving to G3 and other wireless data devices (RIM, etc.) I believe that there will be some blowout numbers that will start the stock moving. I believe it will be re-discovered. I believe in Jerry Labowitz's analysis. He is the Merrill Lynch analyst who feels the stock will trade in the low $60's in the next 12 months. Good luck.
