Option Expiraion Questions - To All : Question, this past friday was expiration on July options. I have several stocks that had covered calls written on them. A couple got called, and am couple didnt and simply expired. In looking at my account, it shows everything as it was. It still shows the Stock and CC's that should have been called and still shows the cc's that should have expired. If I recall in the past on expiration, everything re-calculated on Saturday, yet here I am on Sunday and nothing has been done. I use E-trade. Anybody have any idea when the account will do what it needs to do...it needs to lose some stock at a certain price and lose the july CC's which expired. Knowing e-trade, I'll have to call them in the morning, but does anybody have any idea ? Also is option expiration in Aug on the 18th?? And lastly, with all this talk of corrections and bla, bla, bla, what are most people doing. I know some have responded they are "going to cash"...others have said they are staying fully vested. Personally I am trying to figure out what to do with several stocks. RNWK - Bought at $49 where it is right now. Wrote July $55's so I still have the stock. Do I sell, or write August calls against it? ELON - Bought at $59, wrote July $65's. Do I sell and take another beating, cause with such a depressed stock price, writing calls will not get me out in good shape...for instance, I write the aug $45's or so...I still get creamed if the stock gets called. Am I better just bailing, or is this so depressed that maybe this is one I hold and wait for a run and then sell or cover ?? CMGI - Premiums suck, so it's either sell or hold. At this low price, I hate selling, but....... Qcom - Sheez.....man, I have 2003 leaps and a few recently purchased long shares. Qcom killed me once, and like a fool, I bought back in. If the Q was over $100 right now, it would be a no brainer....but with Q at $60, do I sell those leaps and shares? Buy more ? JDSU - Have half covered with Jan 170's, just bought the other half at $122. Do I cover the other half ? Jdsu is one I want for the long haul.....still wondering if I dont sell and try to buy lower or cover the other half???? AOL - I have a bunch of 2003 leaps....no real worries on this VIGN- Where does VIGN go from here? Do we make a run towards $100 by year end? LPTH - Does this downtrend continue ? IARC I am accumulating, no worries here ( fingers crossed ) MSGI - Sold at $20, re-bought at $4, $4.50, $5 and $5.50. Half just got called, I am going to buy alot more of this. Insiders and institutions have been buying this stock like crazy. NTAP - Will it be cheaper in 2 months....ditto for SUNW. Whew, thats enough questions for now...and by the way, these questions are not directed at any one person, nor does anybody feel like they have to respond. I just thought I'd throw some out...if some of yall wouldlike to throw down your opinion it would be appreciated, if not...no worries..... Have a great sunday Keith
