What else is needed to get pictures on my PC using USB?

Larry you don't have to have anything else, but I have a USB card reader that facilitates file movement. Just take your CF card out of your camera, slip it into the card reader, and your CF card shows up in Windows Explorer as just another drive.

Larry: SanDisk also sells a USB CF reader. I still haven't gotten mine yet, but others here swear by them. From what I understand the flash reader gives you drag and drop functionality with files on your CF card. Pretty cool. Around $30 if I remember correctly.

Other brands are also available, but go with the best - SanDisk.

Larry,

You need a USB ImageMate and a set of rechargeable batteries (four (4) AA-type). If you would like to use a laptop you could by a type II PCMCIA adapter in place of a USB ImageMate. I would consider buying eight (8) AA batteries for the recharger.

On my PC the ImageMate drive symbol shows up as the SanDisk corporate logo. I thought the drive should trip a brief SanDisk jingle when the card is inserted to give the audible confirmation that the card is accepted, but that hasn't happened yet.

Do we have any aspiring musicians who could notate a jingle for SanDisk?
