** OT ** Amnesty International is a fine organization. And I hear they take money from war criminals like myself. You are doing a good thing and we are all proud of you, especially me.

You see, in private law practice I have volunteered my time as a lawyer in assisting people seeking asylum in this great country to get settled. I even helped a Bosnian Winter Olympic Team member win political asylum in this country. What a nice fellow. I now refer to him as my brother-in-law.

And you won't believe what this "Nazi" thread runner has done for the Jews. Why he married a one. Imagine that. And do you know what this "Nazi" has done with his spare time as an attorney in a past life? Why he has helped Russian Jews get asylum and settle in this country. What a beautiful thing this "Nazi" has done for the Jews and he is a gentile to boot.

Thanks for all the kind words, Brian. Hope you know your AMAT better than you know me.

Brian, I appreciate your speaking out - even if it is OT.
Thank you for the link to Amnesty International.

I just came home from an outing and saw 54 messages on this
thread and thought "They must be arguing about something".
I would rather read about such OT topics here occasionally
than think thread participants are totally without passions
and causes beyond making money.

Regards Gottfried

>>If we give into that, we have lost.<<

Very true. Nothing should be off topic. This has been one of the more interesting week-ends on this thread.

Time, nature and gravity will eventually even us all out. But the disputes are thought for food.
