"Circumluction" is almost certainly a typographical error for the word "circumlocution". And on the unlikely chance you never encountered that particular word, circumlocution can very reasonably be defined as a synonym for periphrasis.

You wrote "They're having a cow over there about names."

And why shouldn't they? After all, it is the very reason the thread was formed.
