reselling cc rather than dump the stocks altogether for the short term?
I can see your point.
I'm not sure where JDSU is going right now: will sell covered calls instead of selling the stock because it's in a taxable account. I'll probably sell them deep in the money from wherever it is on Tuesday evening or Wed morning (earnings come out Thurs and mostly stocks are getting killed lately after earnings, even when ok.)
I sold cc on tqnt this morning and don't have any rfmd, and only a couple of leaps for rmbs (probably should sell cc against them though).
I also am selling a couple of things to raise cash: pmcs and sv (in an IRA).
Leaving Qcom alone: it's so beaten down already I don't think I'll write any cc's against it.

But my portfolio is down 50% from Jan 1st (up 100% from last July) so I"m no model of anything.
