Enough shares were authorized at the time of the most recent split for one more 2-1 split without further authorizations.

If I remember correctly, the shareholders don't authorize the additional shares. I think they approve the split after the board authorizes the shares, but I could be wrong about that.

I wouldn't be anxious to split again so soon after a 2-split year and a five-month plateau in the stock price (which BTW we haven't officially broken out of yet). By October the stock should have settled comfortably into the split range, so if earnings do indeed increase by another 30-35% this Q they will come under pressure to announce a split with the next earnings. I'll be surprised if it comes earlier.

But what do I know?
