Tim,

If AMD delivers with Sledgehammer, and Intel does not come up with an x86 equivalent, the microprocessor business could potentially see a major sea change.

Tim: As scumbria says and inflection point may occur if Intel is unable to force the world to go it's way. IBM failed and look what happened...humbled and chastened.
Intel is entering into a perilous time. there is no assurance at all that their new product will live up to it's expectations, in fact it will die a fast death if Intel wants to make the world pay through the nose, like IBM did....remember that?
