Mark,

Thanks for the offer and I will check it out. I pretty much plan to stay here as I like having golf and money at one site. Two of my three favorite things in life.

As for the Ping woods. I bought one. Got the 14 degree 3 wood with...all the regular options. No draw or fade or flat or upright. Just plain. Did get the JZ stiff steel shaft, which I think is pretty close to DG.

Very nice club and very easy to hit, even from the rough. No where near as long as my 975F, but to be honest, that club is just too much for some of the courses I play. Its almost like having two drivers. I see the Ping getting a lot more play.

The thing that surprised me about it was how easy it was to draw, both the tight 5 degree kind and what I call the "trouble draw" where I try to hit the big hook around something. Last night on the first five I hit a nice draw off the tee to the worst possible place on the hole. Blocked by trees making the dogleg. I had 235 to the water on the right so the Ping was either going to give me the draw or I was going to be wet. Probably the best shot of the round and I was sold.

The other thing I like is how high it hits it. Not too high like another famous named club that I won't disrespect here (besides if it works for you what else really matters!), but just right for me. I hit a lot of low boring shots. Part of the reason I have regular flex in my V-25 irons. I only got to hit it to one green, but it came in soft and rolled to the back edge. The 975F would have left a burn mark on the green and probably killed some wildlife 25 yards past the green. I guess sometimes shorter is better (I never thought I would say that!).

Anyway, the I3 fairway is worth checking out and is probably just as true for the driver.

Have a good one.

TH
