you know. Dell's comment was to grow sales by at least 30% per annum.

(a) bond traders have used Dell for liquidity and (b) this report comes in at 22.5% and traders freak. but, 22.5% is being compared against the significant 29% weighted U.S. spike of last year's 2nd qtr. fluke (as they call it). averaged out, Dell's growth will still match or exceed the 30% rate they felt "comfortable with".

how can some make qurterly predictions compared against a "fluke"?

it would be hard to believe that Dell's situation has changed that much in a week. no earthquakes - just Intel

Re: why is dell stock down worse today then other pc stocks and msft?

Easy one....because I was the fool and purchased more shares this morning at 52, completely disregarding the calls of wiser investors who have played DELL's continued fluctuations between mid 40's and early 50's. The wise ones sold this morning.
