The drop in GLW is going to put a damper on the optical sector and should serve as a reminder of the extreme valuation in the sector.

Hmmm. I tend to think GLW's drop is more the "shoot the acquisitor" type of scenario. High valuations continue in FO-land...look at NUFO, setting a new ATH and bucking the downdraft...it's now trading at close to 200 times estimated FY00 revs. That is one mean stock!
