Joe,
The Nasdaq and AMD are really getting hammered. They hype today is that the PC market is slowing over the last 3 months. Seems to me it usually slows into the Summer any way?
I was about to sell going into earnings but didn't. Now, with more Intel delays, Timna and Itanium, coupled with the fact that Intel will have to rely on Taiwan for any DDR chipsets, AMD is looking better and better....
Back to the TA to begin to look for a new entry point...

I also read where AMD might be sampling Sledgehamer? If so this would suggest that the chip could be ready in 6-9 months. That would put it in a great timing position vs iLAME-ium...which is delayed until next year as you know.

If it's just first silicon then it's more than a year out.
Have you heard any more insight about it? Anyone?

Jim

Joe - Re: "Here is a link (sent to me by Scott Tribe) to a discussion of Duron launch. "

"yet I can find several sites here in Canada online that are offering both Durons and accompanied Motherboards for sale. "

Looks like Canada has replaced San Diego as the Preferred site for AMD CPU launches.

Poor Petz.

He will now have to drive all the way to Canada to count the number of Duron PCs available at the SD shops !
