Comverse's Danziger on 2001 Sales Growth: Company Comment quote.bloomberg.com ------------------------------------------------------------ Comverse's Danziger on 2001 Sales Growth: Company Comment By Joshua Mitnick Tel Aviv, Aug. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Itsik Danziger, president of Comverse Network Systems, the largest division of Comverse Technologies Inc., speaks on revenue growth for 2001 and the drivers behind sales for the maker of telephone-message systems: ``Demand is very high, especially in the wireless world because of its competition. The demand is for new types of enhanced services, but also to expand the existing enhanced services. ``Voice mail is still a killer application'' with 70 percent to 80 percent of all mobile phone subscribers using it. ``The number of wireless users in the world continue to grow very fast. This year there are 500 million wireless users, and in the next three years the forecast is that there will be 1 billion. ``All of the cellular growth in the last 15 years will now be the same as in the next three years. So even for our existing enhanced services there is huge business potential. That's actually the reason for our strong growth.'' On sales growth for 2001: ``It will probably be 25 to 30 percent. This is more or less the range.''
