James, Well I called Abraham a Jew and that is an error too :-) The point I was making you did not see because of your misunderstandings of the OT. Jesus is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. The Priests would take many types of sin offerings required by the Law to avoid severe punishment but it was a constant flow of blood. Jesus gave once and for all. What you are missing James is Jesus teaching that He is the living Torah and His love for the Law. He made 9 of the 10 commandments more clear and even harder only the Sabbath was changed to Him being the Lord of the Sabbath. We would not understand the need for atonement without the OT and without the Law would not know sin. The Bible is a complete package so you can see what God is teaching you in your walk with Him. That is what is important our walking with him in the light of His love. <<Once again I will say that nothing that the old law provided would provide complete forgiveness>> If you read my post again maybe you can see that is what I said.
