Having a Beer With The Wizard....

>>This is cogent thinking and I agree you are correct here:

>>>>I firmly believe that most of our problems are figments of our individual and collective imaginations. I call this the Wizard of Oz effect. We've bought the Wizard's story: smoke and fire and we're all too scared and frightened to pull the curtain and get to know him for the human being he really is.>>>>

Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz series is wonderful for the way it brings adults and children alike "back home" through the doors and castles of fear.

Comedy in general and much of what we all laugh extend from the Wizard of Oz effect into various off Broadway-like side bar stories which dispatch the warm and fuzzy syrup and get into the meat and potatoes of placing each of us into the objective Carson/Letterman/Seinfeld-like third leg between two warring black holes - spirits/individuals - who are out to kill/claw/lie/cheat and steal from each other.

All the great comedians have placed themselves into these various humble, objective third legs through which various inane, silly and tragically funny aspects of our personal egos and related selfishness gets put on stage for us to bathe in and "feel good" about.

I find that truth is cool, wacky and incredibly funny. I have more Seinfeld like stories about my walk through life than I can shake a stick at. For I've learned that if we can't laugh at ourselves we won't be able to meet/greet and have a beer with the Wizard.

Peace.
