Yes, the hardest part being raised as a Christian and knowingly in sin, causes many to consciously deny God rather than continue on as they were taught to believe. There is really no walking the line between sin and loving Christ. We do not deliberately sin unless we are able to accept the consequences of a life separated from God.
Its not hard once you make a decision that you will follow Christ along with all of your sinful imperfections. How many say, "I will get saved once I am out of this sin or that sin. Usually never happens.

The donnybrook must have satisfied some emotional need to argue. (g)
