Sam,
Hi!!

RE: Dell Computer, which continues to see strong PC growth, is aggressively pushing its server and notebook lines to make up for the industrywide slowdown. So far, Dell Computer is holding on to its market share lead in the U.S., though it lags Compaq in worldwide PC sales. News of the industry sales slowdown brought lower revenue forecasts for Dell Computer from Merrill Lunch analysts Steven Fortuna, though he left his earnings numbers unchanged.

Sam I'll bet ya a meal at Pappadeux's that Steve is wrong! And, I'll bet ya another meal next door at Pappasito's that he didn't get a chance to have a wonderful meal in Austin nor did he bother to go see for himself what he is being paid to do...I'd be shocked if he did...I'd shut my mouth if I hadn't seen Europe for myself if someone asked me what it was like...
DELL will make their revenue number due to their servers/storage/workstations/notebook demand...Sure we'll take the PC business (DELL already owns it anyhow.. :o)..) but the real margin is in the facilities that we toured and saw in Round Rock...
"WE WILL EXPOSE THE SERVER RIP-OFFS OF THE PAST"...

Sam all those cheap PC's that everyone gave away last year...you know the companies that are "a million old soldiers fading away"...Well, the slight of hand in these reports didn't make the headlines...But, just in case someone is still curious...Each and every one of these "freebies" when it hits a "WWW. COM A SERVER IS REQUIRED"...And, they weren't making any Kool Aid at the Parmer Facilities...Just Hagen Daz and Cashews...Right Sam??
:O)

Best, Kemble
