You make good points about ORCL's staying power, but all of your points are about the RDBMS business. ORCL is investing billions into its solutions business. If the solutions business fails, ORCL will be writing off billions and fighting for profits in the commoditized RDBMS platform business. It is the solutions buisiness that LE is working on 100% of the time.

Now, if ORCL would de-emphasize the solutions business and really focus on its platform technology, I would feel better about them.

sditto, Thanks for the breath of fresh air. I have always said, ORCL advantage is the foot in the door. Databases are the core of any big organization, and ORCL has a big foot in the door.
