Signal Technology Keltec Division Awarded Electronic Counter Measures Transmitter Development Contract

DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2000--Signal Technology Corporation ("Signal") (Nasdaq:STCO), a leading provider of electronics products for wireless communications and power products in the commercial, defense and space markets, today announced that its Keltec Division in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, has been awarded a design and development contract for a new airborne transmitter from Hellenic Aerospace Industry, Ltd., in Greece. This state-of-the-art design will utilize Keltec's qualified super-microwave power module (MPM) power supply for this electronic counter measures (ECM) aircraft program. Production potential for the A-7 attack jet fighter aircraft electronics upgrade program award is valued in excess of $3 million. Long-term value including spares and support could equal $6 million.
