SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2000-- Network Appliance(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq:NTAP - news), the leading provider of network-attached data access and content management solutions, today announced that DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq:DCLK - news), the leading global Internet advertising solutions company, has selected Network Appliance network storage solutions to help support its data management needs for both its UNIX and Windows NT application environments. NetApp storage appliances, also known as filers, will be used by DoubleClick in order to ensure scalability, reliability, high-performance, and increased availability for its critical-data infrastructure.
DoubleClick has implemented multiple-terabyte NetApp 760 filers, the most powerful Network Appliance enterprise storage solution. SnapMirror, a remote mirroring application, will ensure the high data reliability, eliminate downtime, and increase availability of DoubleClick's Web sites during data center consolidations.
``To meet our growing processing requirements, DoubleClick is using NetApp filers to store data for both its UNIX and Windows NT applications, allowing simultaneous access to both environments,'' said Bob Linsky, vice president of Operations, DoubleClick. ``Plus SnapMirror, the NetApp solution, provides us with an easy way to continuously mirror business-critical logs at our offsite disaster recovery facility, giving us a complete storage solution.''
``We are excited that DoubleClick has chosen Network Appliance to power its Internet advertising,'' said Paul Hansen, senior director of Marketing at Network Appliance. ``NetApp storage solutions will add the flexibility, scalability, and high performance needed for DoubleClick's multiple application environment by accessing a single, unifying data storage solution.''
