***EudoraCoin*** Drew, that article is unfair to my good buddy Alan Green$pan. They suggest he is some bureaucratic government minion 'defending' the dollar.

It's true he is defending it, but not in any negative way. He is doing exactly what he should do and is providing a huge public service. Until Qq currency is ready to rumble, we are absolutely dependent on a good quality $$ and Alan Green$pan to hold it stable.

My guess would be that he is perfectly comfortable with cybercurrencies taking over eventually. A 3D currency will always been needed too, so he won't be going right out of business any time soon.

The interest rate increases Alan has produced won't nobble the stockmarkets. They'll just continue to roar away as The New Paradigm gains momentum. It is just getting warmed up. JDSU, Q! those fibre and software and other companies are all going like crazy with AFFX and Celera coming in behind to redefine humans once the telecosm is sorted out a bit more.

The industrial revolution of the 19th century and the agricultural and other revolutions over the past 10000 years are going to look trivial.

All aboard!!

PS: Keep in mind the cybercurrencies will only initially be actual $$. They'll soon evolve to Q or q [one Q = 100q] which will be one share of QUALCOMM [or a basket of companies stock such as Q! Cisco, Microsoft, Globalstar, Lucent, Affymetrix, Celera, IDEC]. QUALCOMM could form a New Paradigm investment fund, comprising $500bn worth of stock in a bunch of those companies, held by an investment company - say Private Capital Management or whatever which would be the 'Cyberspace Reserve Bank'. Then Q! could encrypt that stock and people could use it to buy and sell by emailing a few Q or q to somebody in exchange for some product or service. The person could just hold it in their WWeb device [with backups in the Web somewhere in case their WWeb device gets squashed or broken] ready to pay somebody else anytime they like. Instant and guaranteed payment.

Maybe $1bn would be enough to start, then as success grows, they could increase the cybercurrency size to $500bn then $2tn etc, depending on demand and growth. Eventually the value of the currency would exceed the value of the companies and it could become a fiat currency, backed simply by good management of the currency, the value of it being intrinsic to the value of having a good currency which people could rely on totally.
