In all fairness...most religions have comparable perversities and absurdities. But people are very rational about choosing their faith: the Christian chosen fancy the Christian bible; the Jewish chosen fancy the Jewish bible. The Muslim chosen fancy the Muslim bible; the Mormon chosen fancy the Mormon bible (this latter having the effrontery and gall to write polygamy into their scriptures, and getting away with it until very recently!). And then we have the Witnesses, and so forth. It is all so confusing. It is really a wonderful tribute to the human intellect that various peoples are able to sort through all of this confusion, make the logical and unquestioned choice, and know that their religion is superior to all others...
