"Why do you define people as 'poor?'

What measures are you using?"

We could start with the half a million children under the age of five who are starving to death and dieing of treatable ailments in Iraq (Do to the US imposed sanctions). I often think "poor kids" when I think of them. Yep, children dying because they are denied food, and basic medical care; that's a good place to start with in our definition. Madeline Albright says it is worth it though. I still haven't figured out what she is equating as the worth.

Why do you define people as "poor?"

There are a lot of people in this world who are hungry and unable to feed your children. There are people who have to watch children die because they have no money to pay for basic medical care. And on, and on. If you think these people "are "rich" in so many other areas which transcend any attempt by me/you/others to define/label/measure/track/control and serve them", your fantasy goes deeper than I would have thought possible.

For the only way you are going to reach these folks is by really risking, exposing and humbly serving them without the quid pro quo.

Will you please stop the fairy tales for a moment and tell us precisely, in practical terms, what sort of "service" you have in mind?
