WOOD BUFFALO NATIONAL PARK, Alta. (CP) - The number of bison dead from anthrax in northern Alberta has risen to 43.

Two more dead animals were found Saturday by using infrared scanners on a helicopter, said park warden Doug Bergeson. The animals died at the same time as the 41 dead bison already found, he said.

Ground and aerial searches will likely continue for a few more days, Bergeson added.

The main concern is that the highly infectious anthrax will spread via waterways in the park. Most of the carcasses have been found near bodies of water.

The outbreak, about 180 kilometres south of Alberta's boundary with the Northwest Territories, is the worst in Wood Buffalo National Park since 1991 when more than 30 bison died.

Parks officials have imposed a travel ban in the area to prevent hikers or hunters from coming into contact with infected carcasses.

Anthrax can be contracted by humans if they ingest it, inhale it or take it in through open wounds.

"I don't think I've ever taken anybody to the Situation Room. I think that's highly unlikely," he said, although he couldn’t remember anything that happened that day. "I did my best to go through the day to do my job, do what I was supposed to do."

This is a person that could not remember if he was along while having blow-job...<g>

Here's some light reading for you to ponder Richard:

"Fistgate"!!??? Geezus!!! I count my blessings each and every day that I'm not a resident of M"ass"achusetts.

Btw, I don't care if someone wants to be gay.. that's their legal choice. I used to have a roomate who turned out to be Lesbian (much to my chagrin, although I did tell her I was a lesbian trapped in a man's body... :0)

But when they start teaching ANY KIND OF SEXUAL METHODS to 12-16 years kids who still can't figure out why their chests are enlarging and their voices are cracking, I draw the line.

Personally, I'm really disgusted by reading this. It's off topic, I know... but I can't imagine anyone here would be in favor of teaching kids about "fisting" techniques, let alone any other kind of sexual techniques.

Btw, I understand that you can write this newspaper a letter requesting a tape of this seminar (which was apparently made by a parent who was later sued for violating the state "wiretapping" statue) and they will send it to you free.

Vote Republican... folks.. Vote Republican.
