JohnG...its interesting re: INTC and "Spinco"..."Spinco" may never happen.
----------

Repeat, why would they sell even a piece of Spinco?

It's perfectly clear why INTC or TXN would want in.

I can't think of a single reason why QCOM would be interested.

regards,
blg

CaTechTrader. Yes. If I were NOK, at this point I guess I would feel like I had really screwed up and come forth to beg forgiveness. But, I am not NOK and excessive pride is a deadly sin in this case. NOK probably will not budge and the deal will probably proceed -- I get the feel that NOK never really understod the speed and deal making that characterize high tech in the US. If markets are grownig exponentially, almost any deal is better than freezing up the value creation with no deal at all. NOK seems to plam some kind of zero sum game rather than 2+2=6. I guess it is the European mentality at work. Really, QCOM just wants to expand CDMA worldwide and make money for everyone involved.

Your are right CA, the story just got compelling again for those that lost interest in the Q story.
