Rick,

However, I'm a trader

Acknowledgement is the key to recovery. Now I have two data points <g>.

Clinton is supposed to be hosting a conference on pharmaceutical pricing sometime in early August - wouldn't expect that one to be a particular market positive, if the pharma/biotech sector is trending down will the pundits try to pin this one on him as well?

Simple rule: Biotech investments are underdamped systems, they get ahead of themselves when everyone expects them to make them rich, then get ridiculously undervalued when everyone realizes the timelines involved. This time the verse has changed from, "We didn't realize it took so long to get a drug approved," to "We didn't realize it would take so long to make sense and use of genomic data." But the tune's the same IMO.

That said, this would still be one of the shortest biotech rally's if it really is over.
