ELmer - Re: "An interesting way to put things in perspective is to note that 1 Intel fab in 1 week produces almost as many CuMines as the total K7s AMD sold in Q2 from 2 fabs"

Ah....but AMD has so much more potential !

Dresden is still ramping up and should produce a lot more in Q3 then in Q2. Austin still produces more K6s then Athlons.

Elmer-- Re: An interesting way to put things in perspective is to note that 1 Intel fab in 1 week produces almost as many CuMines as the total K7s AMD sold in Q2 from 2 fabs.

That's a very interesting assertion, since, if we assume "almost" means "within 10%" your statement implies your favorite fab outputted 19.44 million Coppermines last quarter. If your statement is not false, either the other fabs working on Coppermines had a 0% yield or Intel produced 70 or 80 million processors last quarter.
