Good point. That would appear to be DoCoMo, which is in the unique position of being a carrier, W-CDMA IPR claimant, not an equipment manufacturer, and the first to plan roll-out of W-CDMA.

The W-CDMA "patent pool" party that is upcoming may resemble the pool scene in Caddyshack. 27 or so claimants, with attorneys, an unstable standard, equipment makers, non-equipment makers, essential patents, non-essential patents. Thinking this may take a while to settle out.
