It was a winning move, right? So don't look back. Trying to maximize gains consistently is impossible to do. I seldom get bottoms or peaks exactly (I missed the march one by 40 points) but even being close is a winning strategy.

And, in my experience it is best to be out of the options well before the final weeks. When I have lost on options in the past, it has always been on current month ones, but I have a very good success ratio when I buy longer term ones and sell them in mid stream somewhere.
