Les in a nutshell collectively what those guys are saying is simple WE DO NOT KNOW <GGG> Whish I was paid the $$$ they are paid for writing the same thing. IMHO we are in a P/E shrinking environment. As an example "old economy" is reporting better earning stock do not move, (example DD beat earnings of $0.88 by 2 cents, growth rate 17, stock flat) hype stocks? oh well just toss a coin. Were they can run the stock higher they do. Fact is Japan has a weak economy and Europe is flat,(not sure about India and China) only the US is in the mood of Shop until you drop with negative savings rates ........ but that's a "cultural" think which will hurt the US.
