cnbc email address is BizCenter@cnbc.com and phone is (201) 585-2622 and ask for customer relations voice mail. It's the only one I can think of and leave a message of what an incredibly stupid, ill-informed, MIS-informed, Misleading and damaging statemene was made by Pissonme. maybe after a hundred voice mails in the morning the asshole will at least get some of the messages

blaireo1, I listened to the NT conference call. I did note that they wanted to have the component capability in house as the number of suppliers gets reduced. However, I also did note that he stated that although they are able to get components now, it could pose a problem down the road as this sector keeps picking up steam (In the Q and A part of the call). This was the key statement, IMHO. It is surely bullish for JDSU/SDLI/GLW etc. He did say that if given a choice, they prefer to get their components from suppliers but want to side on caution by building up their own capacity. (I have paraphrased here).

Have to listen to the cc again to get his exact words. In the end, I took his enthusiasm for the biz as very positive for NT as well as JDSU. Remember we are getting a lot of new start ups that will also have to rely on external suppliers and if given a choice will pick JDSU over NT in the coming years.
JDSU has continued to stress that they will not be a systems company --ie not compete with their customers. I just think NT is making sure they have a backup plan. I think Roth said something like --what if there is an accident at a major plant of their supplier.

Again, nothing that i heard from Roth would cause JDSU to drop, IMHO. It was clearly Pissani on CNBC that spooked a lot of daytraders or short term traders that held JDSU---This was "island" trading--where most of the daytrading volume comes from.

It is not a bad thing if the short term traders exit this stock quickly---by noon or so tomorrow. That leaves a lot of stock to be bought by index funds in the coming days and weeks from the longer term holders----that is, the price would have to be right before they sell.
