Taking Stands.....

Continuing our discussion:

Looking into the dark void to cast blame only keeps us and others from facing the light to embrace forgiveness and love.">>>>

YOU
>>Unfortunately there is injustice in the world, and fortunately not everyone is willing to lie about in the shade denying it. Blameless people with good intentions die at the hands of the corrupt elite with bad intentions. I will take a stand against injustice and for truth and justice while in this world. It is true that you can not take such a stand without critiquing each situation, passing judgement on it, and assigning responsibility. We are not talking about judging in the sense of the Christian scripture that states "Thou shalt not Judge;" which is in reference to passing judgement on a persons soul.>>

My Comments...

Let me give you a story that's very close to home here in the diverse town I live in - Evanston, IL. Last night I was visiting with "Patricia" who happens to be 40, a mother of 2-3 teenagers, black and who works at the local filling station near our home. We were talking about "the gang problem" here in Evanston.

I spend a lot of time with people like Patricia in my daily walk through life. I love interacting, sharing, challenging, risking, helping and serving others. In reaction to her comments about "the gang problem" I challenged her to "see" this not as a problem but as an opportunity. Here are kids who are lost inside these dog eat dog, kill or be killed, what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine black holes. And they all intuitively know right from wrong, but the horizontal focus and competitive pull - for/against - has erased any pull of the higher vertical principals and values. The law eventually "gets" the vast majority of these kids on these one way streets. So we are really talking about education, caring, serving and helping them to "see" from this different perspective. But oftentimes there are no father figures and if there is a Dad he's probably been been busted and locked up.

Right here in my own town we have the same black hole evil forces that run rampant in Iraq, Cuba, China and other places around the world where vertical forces are flattened and ignored due to forces of power, politics, money, etc.

But here's where I will draw the line: I will not judge the person, but I will judge the act. These acts come and go and there is responsibility to be taken for acts of wrongdoing. These kids are living a daily hell which, from their perspective, is proof positive of the price they are paying for the walk they are walking. Each one of these kids wants to find a way out of this hell, but their own political/power/control systems prevent them from finding an exit door. Why?

Because if someone did find an exit door the whole paradigm would collapse like a house of cards, period. For black holes are just like Ponzi Schemes. Once the truth gets out from within - by the simple guts and determination from one individual - the power of this taking energy is easily fractured and forever broken.

Witness Castro's struggle to "save Elian." This was a desparate act which sacrificed a boy's future to live a life of freedom in order to preserve a totolitarian regime. But the truth is now out in Cuba. The stuggle over Elian actually did more to unmask Casto's charade than anything else since he took power/control years ago. Look at all the people taking more bold risks to get across the straight to Florida and there's that famous baseball player's story. Castro is on the run. Elian pulled the curtain on the Wizard, only this "Wizard" is turning out to be a "Lizard."

>>True forgiveness is possible when based on three precipitating factors: 1) The perpetrator recognizes the behavior as unjust, 2) The perpetrator wants to take responsibility for their part in the problem and sincerely wants to correct the injustice, 3) The perpetrator sincerely seeks forgiveness......A man is a fool who forgives a rattlesnake. The snake has no intention to withhold its poisonous strike and you only enable it to succeed by your denials and petting.>>

Brees, you are sounding as if you are taking on the mantle and powers of God himself. Relax. Believe that this stuff is being accounted for by powers and a universal intelligence which vastly exceeds anything you or I or all of us put together can imagine.

Put away the Talmud, strictures, laws and edicts. Either you/we are giving, radiating, sharing, reflecting love/light/forgiveness/trust or we are doing the opposite. When we use our powers of judgement to try to embrace, power and control others through our opinions or laws of our own making we are simply cutting others and ourselves off from the power and energy behind the love that supports us all.

Forgiveness is a universal law. We are all to forgive ourselves and others, period. Much of the lashing out we do in the world is a reaction to the pain we personally feel which we, unknowingly, have inflicted on ourselves which we blame others for feeling.

YOU
>>False forgiveness is what a coward does by watching and enabling injustice while claiming their cause is peace. Many take this approach (as long as it isn't in my back yard). There is no peace in knowing that innocent creatures are suffering at the hands of the corrupt while you do nothing.>>

There's a very fine line here. Yes, we need to place a stake in the ground - ie. making a stand for what we believe is right/wrong, etc. - but we also need to follow up with ACTIONS and a plan of action which, by way of example, shows others that you are not just talking but living and setting an example for what you believe in.

This is where real boldness and courage comes in. Where the boys are separated from the men in life. Few individuals ever make it to the stage where they have the guts to even put a stake in the ground, much less ACT upon their convictions, etc. The world is full of followers who stand on the sidelines refusing to take risks and really LIVE by example.

How did Hitler get to the point where he became the monster black hole that he was, sucking, destroying light and devouring millions of innocent individuals? My answer is that nobody had the guts early in Hitler's career to call a spade a spade and stand up to him. His entire regime got caught up in a holy race war which was fueled by the sense of past injustices which were never fully addressed in the aftermath of WWI, etc. He simply started a parade which fed off the light, trust and energy of others. The focus, again, was on the horizontal - taking energy. There was no room for any vertical balance or focus. And all vertical forces were meant to be bent/refracted/corrupted into the black hole. All it takes is for a few really good people to be corrupted by such a force and there's no turning back. For once a killer has killed, he needs to kill more just to stay even and grow.

And when people judged and resisted his plan he felt justified that he was on the right track, etc. For black holes feed off opposition and challenge.

Yup, it becomes a holy war. And this requires great leadership to divine, mobilize and respond in order to stop such a force. Churchill and the leaders of the allied powers were empowered by the sheer sense of righteousness and justice against the forces of evil in there response.

Boil it all down and it simply starts with forgiveness. Forgiveness unleashes the power and energy of light and love into the world. Despite what you or anyone else may have done - good or bad - it means there is a requirement for responsibility and payment, but that there's also a plan of redemption - a way out of this mess: a coming together.

Peace.

GO!!
