"Ok, have we determined it's breed? A chimp to CSCO? A Prince to JDSU's king? Or maybe it's assuming the king role over LU?"

The later in spades. JDSU and NT are (were!) in different market segments. JDSU makes some of the components that NT uses to build their products for the telco companies. As I mentioned in my previous post I believe NT is now the king in it's space displacing LU (Cisco is still a distant 4th). NT, if the deal with GLW goes through, will also become the strong prince to JDSU (the king) in the fiber optic component space. And we are not touching on the other markets that NT is strong in (e.g. wireless, networks etc..).

There is one other NYSE stock you should consider: NT

This is one we argue over. I won't buy it for the same reason I won't buy LU, an old line unionized company that will have its bottom line dragged down by it's legacy business.
