Re: "Great post. I want to comment on one particular remark you made "It is downright amusing how every other guy cheers niceguy and looks for a $120 price target one week and the pendulum swings all the way and there is talk about $40"

Comment: Market risk, as opposed to company risk, is the primary driving force at the moment...When market risk turns sour, no amount of good news will counter...and high beta stocks like AMD are not only the first to take a hit, but, as you have pointed out, the doom and gloomers reappear to throw gasoline on the flames...AMD is currently, once again, way oversold at $74-1/2, and will return to test its all time closing high of $95 in the near term, when market risk once again turns positive...At current levels, AMD represents an outstanding opportunity for above average ROI...Meanwhile, consolidation in the $70 to $95 range continues unabated!

Mike,

<Great post.>

Thanks.

<In the meantime, this could be a very good time to buy AMD.>

Looks like it is even a better time to buy today 8-(
All I see is cautious bargain buyers on I-Watch. Looks like SSB call and recent not-so-stellar earnings from some of the players has soured a lot of folks on the semis. People are throwing the baby with the bath water...
